Trip to Eastern Africa
by Stephen Cartwright SOC Director
Ulf Bjorling just came back from his trip to Eastern Africa where he visited 3 schools in Uganda, Tanzania & Burundi. Here is his report below.
Uganda
In Iganga, eastern Uganda, we graduated 23 students of whom 13 were pastors. It was a very special Graduation and God blessed us in a wonderful way. I heard some very touching testimonies from the students. One stood up and testified how God had opened his eyes while they were listening to the lesson "the Trojan horse". He said that when they suffered persicution under president Ida Amin the church was strong, but now when they have freedom of worship the church is becoming weak.

Tanzania
In Arusha, Tanzania we graduated the 3rd class in that province. It was a very mature class of 20 students. Most of them were senior pastors and bishops. One bishop were overseeing over 300 churches. Someone who attanded the graduation said that it is very unusual to see so many "big" bishops sitting down in a school for one month. They were very happy with the school and they are begging us to stay. Many of them came to the school because they had heard testimonies from former students and seen the fruit in their lives.

Burundi
In Bujumbura we graduated 33 students. Most of them were evangelists. A brother called Hubert helped direct the school. He was a student from the December 2009. During the graduation one Methodist bishop who had sent some students to the school stood up and said that if we want to take the school to his province we can use their campground.
