The School of Christ conducted its first school in the Far East of Russia since the summer of 2006. Presently, there is a spirit of renewal in the region which has resulted in a greater desire to reach the world through missions. This was reflected in the students who came to the SOC from the far eastern part of Russia. These students were pastors and leaders, and each one possessed a heart to reach their nation and beyond. God had provided a location for this school, a hotel owned by a Chinese Christian. Every day the local Chinese church cooked the meals and brought them to the hotel. The Chinese were overjoyed to be able to minister to the Russian students in this way. In turn, the Russian students were very touched by the love and service of the Chinese Church.

Each student arrived at the school with an intense hunger to personally meet with God. This anticipation created an electrifying atmosphere full of expectancy that the Spirit of God would move upon their hearts. The Lord delights in such thirst and hunger! Every day the prayer times were filled with intercession for the nations of the world, and lives were transformed during these two weeks of intense study and prayer. Young men were called to the mission field, and all were deeply renewed and refreshed in spirit. The School of Christ has been training pastors and church leaders for 19 years in Russia. We praise the Lord for the great harvest of souls, and the countless new churches that have been planted as a result of the passion of our SOC graduates.
